The No Farms No Food Rally is only one month away and we just got some great news! Darrel Aubertine, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has accepted our invitation to speak at the Rally. Governor Cuomo and Commissioner Aubertine have embraced agriculture as an economic development priority for the State of New York and are pleased that the commissioner will be able to join us.
Register online now for the No Farms No Food Rally in Albany on March 13th and join farmers, local foods advocates, land trusts, community leaders and others who care about local farms and food from across New York State. Bus transportation roundtrip from NYC to Albany is available. Bring a brown bag lunch made with food grown in New York State.
At the No Farms Food Rally we will meet with State Legislators to urge them to support funding and legislation that strengthens farm and food economies, protects farmland and the environment and increases access to locally grown food for all New Yorkers.
Come to the Rally and Advocate to:
- Protect Farmland from Development
- Encourage State Agencies to Buy Food Grown in New York
- Aid a New Generation of Farmers in Securing Farmland
